Multi Power Aditama Supports Nickel Downstreaming Through Supply Chain Efficiency in Kendari
The Indonesian government’s efforts to strengthen national nickel downstreaming are becoming increasingly evident in Southeast Sulawesi. The region has emerged as one of Indonesia’s key mineral processing hubs, with several industrial estates and active smelters across Konawe, Morowali, and Kolaka. Amid this rapid development, PT Multi Power Aditama (MPA) has opened its 11th branch in Kendari to strengthen heavy equipment logistics support and improve supply chain efficiency.
As a provider of components such as undercarriage and ground-engaging tools (G.E.T.), MPA plays an important role in ensuring the smooth operation of mining production activities. Reliable availability of heavy equipment and spare parts is one of the key factors in maintaining the continuity of both mining operations and smelter activities.
Located on Jl. La Ode Hadi Bypass, the Kendari branch serves as a new distribution hub supporting mining operations across Southeast Sulawesi. With extensive component warehousing facilities and an experienced technical team, MPA can meet customer requirements more efficiently without relying on shipments from outside the island. This initiative helps reduce logistics costs and accelerate heavy equipment maintenance response times in the field—two critical factors in maintaining production stability across the nickel downstreaming sector.
In addition to supporting operational efficiency, MPA has also implemented digital inventory and ordering systems. Through its internal systems, customer demand data can be analyzed to forecast requirements and proactively manage spare parts availability. This supply chain efficiency directly supports smelter operations, where timely delivery and service are critical. Through this integrated system, MPA serves as an important link in the supply chain supporting the government’s efforts to increase domestic value creation from Indonesia’s mineral resources.
MPA’s presence in Kendari demonstrates that successful downstreaming depends not only on processing facilities, but also on a resilient supporting industrial ecosystem. With its continuously expanding network, the company aims to become a strategic partner for industry players contributing to sustainable economic growth across eastern Indonesia.
